Cenote, on human connection
Cenote aims to explore natural processes as metaphors for human interactions. Among these, the formation of stalactites and stalagmites emerged as a compelling narrative. Stalactites form from drips of mineral water, gradually accumulating into spikes overhead. The same mineral-laden water nourishes stalagmites, sculpting them from the cave floor. Eventually, these two converge, creating a unified column. Analogously, just as stalactites and stalagmites must individually grow to intertwine, so must individuals elevate themselves to uplift others. Cenote seeks to encapsulate this journey through the medium of apparel, weaving together the essence of natural metamorphosis and human synergy.
