Following my project New Skin, I wanted to design based on the idea of the old guard, what came before the modern world? Ties to me represent my grandfather, and a generation dwindling. Untapped by a blend of technology, the symbol of the tie feels pure. But it is still a skin we wear. This project attempts to capture the strangulation of past presentations.
